Typing Lessons
The overall purpose of keyboarding lessons is for the student to learn to type with proper technique to obtain reasonable accuracy and speed. Proper technique forms the foundation for successful keyboarding. Due to the ever increasing use of computers in our daily life, at school, college, and places of employment, it is beneficial to practice keyboarding and increase proficiency.
Keyboarding improves a students ability to input information into a computer and concentrate on the application at hand. The more efficient that process is, the less time a student will need to spend getting their work done. If you have watched a person laboriously hunt and peck his/her way through a report, you begin to gain an understanding of the significance of efficient keyboarding techniques. Typing skills are essential to facilitate word processing and other computer activities.
